The future is here for Mechanical Engineers. It has always been the backbone of any industry, as its presence can be felt in every sphere, right from the inception of design to the development of product, and than the services provided. The industrial revolution was just the beginning of a greater & sophisticated mechanical engineering explosion for the benefit of mankind. A multitude of mechanical engineering advancements like superior technology in the fields of emission control, energy utilization, innovative structures for global applications, development of fusion reactors, MEMS, Nano technology & cryogenics are some of the exciting, innovative & challenging fields that are being tackled by mechanical engineers around the world. A degree in mechanical engineering opens windows to a plethora of opportunities for them since their learning is relevant in other branches of engineering as well..

   

The mechanical engineering department at CITM has a full fledged, experienced & dedicated staff with spacious & well equipped laboratories & work shops. With the growth in industries there is a large demand of Mechanical Engineer. Indore is an automobile hub and large number of mechanical Industries is located in the industrial area. Employment / placement will not be a problem for the students.

Infrastructure

The Department emphasizes the development of a close-knit and motivating environment for the free development and exchange of ideas. Every staff member is technically and academically sound in their respective fields, and we offer our students an opportunity to work one-to-one with the faculty in advancing the frontiers of knowledge. The Department is well equipped with the facilities such as Central Workshop which is one of the best of its kind in this region, Basic Mechanical Engineering Laboratory & Engineering Graphics Laboratory.

Major Achievements

Major Achievement of Department is that we are running Renewable Energy club sponsored by Govt. of Madhya Pradesh., whose main aim is to run awareness programme among students for the uses age of renewable sources of energy in form of various intercollegiate ,debate, model competition. The club was inaugurated by our Chairman Shri Vinod Kumar Agarwal on 1st May 2007 on the occasion of International Sunday. The club was also visited by Shri Narayan Murthy during his visit to CITM Campus.
