Social Responsibility
CITM has taken an initiative in the field of social service. An initiative to serve the deprived sections of the society. So far, we have only come across the idea of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). But this is possibly the first time that an educational institute has realized its social responsibility and decided to help the society in the best manner it can.
On 26th January 2008, CITM sowed the seed of this initiative by helping the children of an orphanage in chhawani run by the government. The insititute donated a variety of swings and distributed sweets among the children of the orphanage. The volunteers of the institute also carried out ‘Shramdaan’ under which the whole premised of the orphanage, which was shabby and littered all around, was cleaned. The purpose of this, was to bring excitement to the already monotonous life of these innocent children.
CITM caravan headed towards the Government Middle School, Gram Umrikheda. The institute donated around 500 books for the establishment of the library in the school along with complete furniture for the library which included book rack, long table and chairs. Along with this, the furniture for one class room was also donated. As a token of concern for the environment, some trees were also planted in the school premises. On the same day children of Aangawadi in Gram Umrikheda were gifted toys and study materials. With above examples, it is clear that under the able guidance leadership of management and faculty of CITM, the institute will explore new frontiers of social service.

Conservation of energy is of great relevance in the light of global warming, in order to create this awareness among students, the “Energy Club” was started by Mechanical Engg. Department. Under the aegis of the Energy club poster painting competition was organized for our students on 1st May 2007.
In order to appraise the parents about the developments in the institute and to get their constructive feedback, a parent’s meet was organized on 10th June 2007. There was an encouraging response from the parents. A second parent’s meet was also organized on the 5th of Dec. 2007 to continue our rapport with the parents.

A lecture by DIG of police Mr. Rajendra Kumar on “The menace of Ragging” was organized on 29th August 2007. This lecture was an eye opener for the students and they were quite happy to take an oath that they would not indulge in ragging.
International Women’s day was observed on 10th March 2008, and Dr. Divya Gupta, a reputed gynecologist addressed the gathering. The girl students and lady staff were delighted that they were being rightly recognized and honored by the college authorities.
