GUIDELINES FOR THE STUDENTS SESSION: 2009-2010
GENERAL:
-
The dress code is compulsory for all boys & girls.

27th October ‘07 will be the last working day of the college, for III semester students.
-
The classes for FIRST SEMESTER shall commence as per the university calendar.
-
However, CITM may start classes even early. So please be in look out for the dates to be announced in the CITM website.
-
Minimum of 75% of attendance, both in theory & practical classes, is compulsory.
-
Such of those who fall short of attendance shall not be permitted to appear for the examination.
-
The students shall abide by the rules and regulations of the library.
-
The students are expected to maintain the dignity & decorum in the campus & in the college bus.
-
Active participation of all the students in the extra curricular activities in the college is expected.
-
As per Supreme Court judgment, ragging is totally banned.
-
FIR shall be lodged, against any one violating this, with the police.
-
The status of attendance & progress report will be informed to their parents regularly.
-
Any student who desires to avail leave, for valid reasons, shall take prior permission from the principal.
-
All students shall come to college in the college bus only.
INTERNAL ASSESSMENT TESTS:
-
The maximum marks prescribed for Internal Assessment (IA) is 20.
-
This comprises of two components. 15 marks for the tests conducted and 5 marks for the attendance.
-
There shall be three internal assessment tests during the academic semester.
-
The first two tests shall be for duration of one hour, the third & last test shall be for three hours.
-
For calculation of internal assessment marks, best of the first two tests & the marks of third test shall be considered.
-
Any student, who has scored less then 50% of the maximum of IA marks, that is 7.5, can appear for improvement test.
-
However, the student should have attended all the three tests.
-
Participation in third test is mandatory.
-
The weightage for one-hour test & three hour test shall be in proportion of 40:60 respectively i.e. 6 marks for the best out of first two tests (1 hr.) & 9 marks for the third test (3hrs.).
-
Such improvement test shall be only of 1 hr. duration.
-
The syllabus for improvement test will be restricted to the portions covered till second test.
-
No improvement test shall be conducted for the third (3hrs.) test.
-
If any student remains absent for the third test, on medical grounds, he/she may appear for retest, (3 hrs.)
-
No candidate shall avail the benefits of both improvement test & retest.
-
The candidate shall submit the application for retest before the commencement of the third test.
-
The claim for retest shall necessarily be enclosed with the medical certificate issued by a Govt. medical practitioner.
-
The claim for retest, after the third test, shall not be entertained.
-
The students who are permitted to take retest shall have to appear for TWO papers per day, one in the morning and the other in the evening.
-
The final IA marks for a candidate, who has availed either improvement test or retest, shall be 75% of he actual marks scored.
-
The fractional marks shall be rounded off to next higher integer, for the benefit of the student.
-
Any misbehavior by students during the conduct of tests shall attract the disciplinary action like debarring from the tests.
-
After the completion of each test, the evaluated answer papers will be shown to the students for genuine verification.
-
After such verifications, the finalized mark list will be announced on the notice board.
-
If the students observe any disparity between the marks scored & the marks announced, they may approach the concerned staff immediately for necessary correction.
-
The final IA marks need to be signed by all the students & if there are any queries, they may be sorted out with the concerned staff.
-
No request from the students for change of IA marks shall be entertained after dispatching to the University.
-
The students appearing the IA tests shall carry the ID cards as a proof of identity.
-
However the decision of the Principal shall be final in any event of dispute.
